<p>Hi I'm wondering what my chances look like for getting into U of I Urbana. A lot of people say not to worry and that U of I isn't hard to get in but I never like overestimating my capabilities and am aware that schools like U of I look for more than just academics (they want to see personality through your essay and EC's). Therefore based on some basic stats that I list what kinda chance of admission am I looking at.</p>
<p>-Middle class Hispanic with brother currently attending U of I. Hoping to get accepted to Business School at U of I.
ACT: 29 (32 E, 31 M, 24 R, 27 S)
SAT: 1900
GPA: 4.56/5 or 3.55/4 (all honors or AP's since freshman year and am taking 5 AP's senior year).
Clubs: National Honor Society & Math Team (Running for a position in NHS this year)
Jobs: Part-time Dental Assistant (every other Sunday) & student reporter for the Chicago Tribune (one Thursday a month I meet up but do a lot of independent work for them).
Volunteer: 130+ Service hours. I volunteer in a community youth group through my local police station and I got about 100+ hours from them. I am running for Treasurer for that youth group this year.
-If my EC's seem a bit lacking I have to devote time to church as I attend youth group every Friday, have Bible study once a week on Monday, and attend worship service on Sunday. </p>
<p>-I am retaking the ACT and SAT again so I'm not sure if my scores will change. Based on what I have now do I stand a chance at getting in? Thanks for any advice.</p>
