Chances at U of MICHIGAN if i apply

Hi, I haven't applied yet because I JUST decided to apply today. I'm planning on having everything in by Jan 9th

SAT: 570v 780 math = 1350 total
GPA: 4.2 UC gpa, 4.15 school gpa...I'm not sure about my UMICH gpa
Rank: 21 out of 570

Out of state, applying to their school of engineering

Oh yeah does UMich look at your mid year senior grades???

Thanks!

you have a solid chance.. not a great one, but still a solid one- as you may have guessed, if you were instate your chances would be much higher . . . get the app. in as soon as you can. As for your second question, I'm not sure. . good luck.

Thanks for the input, anyone else have comments?

i think it looks pretty good. im not sure how hard the engineering school is compared to the normal, but you're definitely in the mix, and the 780 math is pretty impressive! um again I'm not sure about the midyear grades, but since they'll know you've finished your first semester, i'd send 'em if they're ok. since its rollling, though, i doubt they can require it. good luck.

apply fast dude. it's rolling admissions. even though you prolly have a pretty good shot, you'll need to apply quick, even though deadline isn't for a month. to calculate UM GPA. Take 10th and 11th grade. Take all minuses and pluses from letter grades. then, ignoring AP or honors weighting, A=4, B=3, C=2 D=1 E=0 Average them all together. I'm not sure how much they care about senior year grades, but i know somebody that got admission taken away because his grades dropped to Cs and Ds, so don't go in taht area.
