<p>i think you should be fine, honestly.
i knew someone who got in with a 3.6 and a 1290 on the old SAT's but only like a 6 honors and 1 AP and 1 extracirricular basically. so you should be alright</p>

<p>I'm a sophmore at community college. In high school my gpa was a 3.4. I took seven honors classes. Now in college my gpa is a 3.5. I want to transfer. Do I have any chance of getting in? My bff goes to psu university park and she told me that the school is looking for more african-american students or to "diversify"...what are my chances and will my race have anything to do with me getting in?</p>
<p>i can't say if you're race would be a factor or not but on my app i didn't put my ethnicity down at all.</p>
<p>I don't care about the race thing, I was wanted to know if that was true. But academically do you think I have a good chance? I wrote my little essay on volunteering too. I know it's mad competitive.</p>
