<p>Hi there, I'd like to be chanced at UCI and UCD. I am currently a senior and I will be applying in the fall. Here are my stats.</p>

<p>Stats:
SAT I (by section): 1980
SAT IIs: Chemistry 740, Math II 610
ACT w/ Writing: 30
APs: Completed: Chemistry, Calculus AB, English Language
In Progress: Gov/Econ, Stats, Bio
IBs: None
GPA: 3.67 Calculated UC GPA
Rank: School does not rank
Other stats: 3 classes taken at a local community college (a total of 10 units)
Hours: 400 community service hours</p>

<p>Subjective:
ECs: Martial Arts-10 years
Cross Country- 2 years
Habitat for Humanity- 4 years, CO-Pres. 1 year
Kaiser Volunteer (over 200 hours)</p>

<p>Job/Work Experience: Taught Karate for 3 years
Currently working as a Tutor/Teacher at a learning center (for about four years now)</p>

<p>So you don’t think my gpa is too low?? It’s a 3.67 weighted and capped and everything!! And there average is, I think, about a 4.0</p>

<p>looking at 2009 stats, ~1000/2400 are accepted for both with 3.5-3.7 gpa and 1800-2100 sat. the last 2 years will drop the overall acceptance a little bit so of course be wary of that.</p>

<p>But thats less than a 50 percent chance! Is there anything I could do to boost my chances? My first language spoken at home also isn’t English, could that help?? And an upward trend in grades, so if I address that in my Personal Statement would it help significantly?</p>

<p>You actually have a very similar resume compared to my sister, except for the fact that she had a 2050 SAT. She was accepted to both these schools, so I wouldnt worry about it too much. But just in case, increase your test scores if possible, I think that would help a lot.</p>

<p>Can you guys look at my stats and tell me how high of a chance I have as well? :T My info is similar to yours with slight differences here and there.</p>
