chances at uc irvine and davis....

Well apps are done with and I want to get a feel for my chances. So here are my final stats.

ELC
4.25 UC GPA
1280 SAT I (650M 630V)
480 Writing
590 Math 2c
540 Biology E/M

3 APs, 1 Honors, 1 community college course
Statitistics AP - 3
Calculus AB AP- taking in May 05
Government AP - part of Step-to-College program which guarantees college credit at San Jose State if I pass the class
Physics (at SJCC) - A - 4 units

Basketball 3 yrs- Varsity 2 years (was team capt last year- 15-20 hours a week)
CSF - will be life member by end of year (not 100% life because I didnt join sophmore year)

Various academic awards (school based awards)

Course load for this year: (only 4 classes....taking it easy this year, maybe that will hurt me)
-English 4
-Art 1
-Government AP/Economics (might be part of Step-to-College is enough students commit therefore making it an AP class as well)
-Calculus AB AP
-Physics: got an A (took it the summer before senior year but it shows up as a 12th grade class)

::I totally choked on my SAT IIs and a retook Writing and Math2c in December (I havnt taken Biology since Freshman year so I thought I did as best as I could). I want to know whether or not Davis or Irvine will accept me with my current SAT II scores or should I send them my new ones (at the moment I am sending my new scores to UCB,LA,SD, and either Davis or Irvine or BOTH???). So will I get into Davis or Irvine with these stats or should I send one/or both schools my new scores and pay the extra cash?::

::I am majoring in Comp Sci, so my math 2c looks really bad::

Definitely send in your new SAT II scores to BOTH Davis and Irvine. The only thing holding you back from all the UC's is your SAT II's, and your current ones make UCB and UCLA definite reaches, and UCSD a reach. Irvine and Davis might be slight-reaches ... but if your new scores turn out better (hopefully Math IIC > 700 and Writing > 600) then you'll be good to go for Irvine and Davis - maybe even UCSD too! Good luck!

Oh man, thanks for the reality check. Ok so I will be sending those new scores and praying for the best come Dec 15 (when scores or released). Also my essays are strong, so will that play a role? Could someone tell me the least raw scores necessary to attain 700 in math 2c and 600 in writing.

::Anyone know any good CA private colleges that offer free online applications? I am kind of tapped out in the money department and I want to expand my selections beyond the typical CSUs and UCs.....I already know UOP has one, any else?::

any other opinoins?
