I was wondering about my chances about my laughable high school record. Not counting freshman year, i have about a 3.00 gpa flat, give or take .02 or so? I'm going to be a senior starting this sept.

Dont have any sports.
In both a service and red cross club for a year. Will be in for two years after senior year. Also did some volunteer work around christmastime.
1680 on SAT I, havent taken SAT II

3 on AP Psch
4 on AP US history

Will be taking a total of 4 AP and 5 honors classes total by the end of senior year.

Asian, in a so-cal asian dominated neighborhood. (Alhambra)

If i can't make Irvine, are there an UC's i can get in at all?

That give or take .2 is actually crucial, since the minimum requirement is a 3.0. UCI is probably a reach, but try taking the SATS one more time.

Well, your GPA just meets the UC minimum requirements, while the average admitted GPA to UCI is a 3.8+ weighted, so it would be good for your UC GPA to be a little bit under that or the same. How many UC approved honors classes have you taken?

So far, i've taken five honors classes and one AP class

English honors (9-11 grade)
Geometry honors (got a C, which hurt my sophmore GPA)
World History Honors
US History AP
Will be taking European History AP, Bio AP, and English AP in sept.

So by the end of senior year, i would have taken a total of 9 Honors and AP classes. Also, do UC's weigh honors classes as well?

Yeah, they weigh UC approved honors classes. You have to check which ones get the extra point though, because I don't think Geometry counts. There's a website that lists the classes at each high school... can anyone give him the link? I forgot it.

yeah, the only thing i weighted was my junior english honors, and US AP. Everything else was not weighted. But even still, my gpa was never high enough to meet the CSF requirements at my school

I think you have a chance at UC Irvine if you raise your SAT. But definitely apply to Riverside- I know people who have gotten in there with stats like your's.

If weighing all my honors and AP's from freshmen year, my gpa is about 3.18 or so. If its from sophmore on, its 3.12. Does that make any difference?
