Chances at UC?

UC GPA: 3.5
SAT: 1400
SATII: Writting 650, Math IC/IIC 720, US history 720, Spanish 750

AP tests taken: European History, English Language, US History, Biology

AP classes taking: Physics, Calculus, English Lit, French

EC: French Club, KEY club, Cal-soap, Varsity soccer, done community service

I've worked through out high school.

I'm latino if that matters.

Do you live in CA?

Not sure if it matters considering that you are a latino (not being racist, etc.) but I think most of the UCs are matches for you. UCLA/UCB might be SLIGHT SLIGHT SLIGHT reaches...so make sure your app is put together nicely.

Yeah i live in California.

My main goal is UCSD, since i live in San Diego.

UCSD => Match

if you're latino I wouldn't recommend putting in your spanish sat score. a 750 spanish is probably a lot lower percentile than a 650 in history. A lot of chinese/japanese people also screw themselves over by putting in their 800 language when the 50th percentile is allready something like 760.

UCB and UCLA are reaches, even with your nice test scores.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, 3.61/1370/780iic/690wr/710chem and i want to get in san diego :)

HurricaneH:

UCLA/UCB: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Safety
UCSC/UCR/UCM: Super Safety

Since your Latino and you have high SAT scores, you should definetly be applying to more top 25 schools. You are URM and you'll get into places like that, and you'll get merit aid from places like USC and yeah.

What's URM?

UnderRepresented Minority

Hopefully soon latinos will not be URM

Alright, so I decided to submit my US History score instead of my spanish
