Eek I'll do what I can, but it's been a while. I never obsessed over the calculuations like some people- I couldn't even tell you my UC GPA because i have forgotten.

THanks

Sophmore Year (2 semesters)

HOnors Eng- B/B
Geometry- A/B
AP World Hist- A/A
AP Psych- B/B
Span 3- A/B
Bio- A/B

Junior Year (2 semesters, but wierd cuz of college classes!!)

Honors Eng- A/A
Honors Alg II/Trig- A/A
Honors Amerc. Hist- A/A
Honors Chem- A/A
Spanish 3/4(Community College 2nd semester only) A
Pre- Calculus(Community College 2nd semester only) A

So all of junior year was A's and honors with 2 one semester long college classes with A's!!

I get 4.4090909!! which rounds to 4.41, but I know if i;m doing it ight. I think I am

Honors English for sophomores wasn't weighted at my high school, but the AP classes would be. Evrything in the Junior year would be weighted, seeing that they are either honors or college courses. Is that how you're doing it?

I think honor english was weighted at my school

I remember, it wa weird, it was weighted for first semester, but not for second semester, cuz first semester, I had a 4.167 with 4 A's and 2 B's, but I didn't do as well during second semester, I had a 3.5.

If I weight Honors english, I get a 4.41, but If I dont weight it, I get a 4.32, which is still above the average for UCB

Well, to check, you should probably ask your counselor. As to your calculation, do you have to weight each grade somehow? You should probably also ask your counselor about this, ask other people on the board who have freshly calculated over and over, or just don't worry about it. It's no big deal, and you will not affect your own chances.

yeah, thanks

Is financial aid given by Berkeley or the UC system?

anybody know?

potentially both, i think

thanks DRab. So do you like Berkeley?

Yes. There are many things here that I couldn't imagine would be elsewhere. The area, the culture, the people. Not all of each, but the parts I like (of course). No particular school fit me perfectly, and I'm generally ambivalent about everything. I'm glad I'm here, and during the times I'm not, I realize it isn't because of this place. I would feel that way no matter where I was some of the time.

where were you from originally?

So cal . . .

cool. Near Ventura??

Much more south. I didn't know that Ventura was considered so cal, but I'm terrible with geography. I'm from the Inland Empire, but I've been to ventura to visit relatives.

oh, cool stuff!
