10th grade GPA = 3.92 (improvement)
11th grade GPA = 4.66 (pwn.)
12th grade GPA = ???? (dunno)
UC GPA = 4.11 (^_^)</p>

<p>SAT = 1990 620V/700M/670W (RETAKING. 2100+ for sure, 2200+ a possibility)
SAT IIs = 780 IIC / 770 Bio (do i need 3?)</p>

5 Calc AB / 5 Biology / 5 APUSH / 4 Spanish / 4 APEC</p>

<p>AP SCHOLAR W/DISTINCTION. W00t.</p>

I'm only in Red cross club, as far as clubs go
(I'll try to join csf and nhs next year though, but i dunno if i'm good enough)</p>

dunno if this counts for anything but i got 1st place in sparring and form for my belt in the 9th San Diego Tae Kwon Do championship (fluff)</p>

<p>Looking for upper tier UCs. Specifically UCB/UCLA/UCSD. I'd probably be pleased with UCSB though. I'm trying to stay away from UCR/UCSC.</p>

<p>Yes, 209 eliminated affirmative action in the sense of choosing students based entirely on ethnic background. </p>

<p>In response, UC expanded the "comprehensive review" concept -- here is an example of how being a member of an under-represented group (minority is just one type of under-representation) could help (this is from UCSD--each school has it's own version and weights the components differently):</p>

<ol>
<li><p>Academic accomplishments in light of an applicant’s experiences and circumstances, such as disabilities, low family income, first generation to attend college, need to work, disadvantaged social or educational environment, difficult personal and family situations or circumstances, refugee status or veteran status</p></li>
<li><p>Location of the applicant’s secondary school and residence, to provide for geographic diversity in the student population and to account for the wide variety of educational environments existing in California. </p></li>
</ol>

<p>This opens the door to under-represented students in a variety of ways. But if you live in La Jolla and went to a private college prep high school and both your parents are doctors, being hispanic is probably no help at all.</p>
