<p>Hi there, I'd like to be chanced at UCI. I am currently a senior at Saratoga High School, known to be one of the most rigorous high schools in CA. Here are my stats.</p>

<p>Stats:
SAT IIs: Chemistry 740, Math II 790
ACT w/ Writing: 31 (atm, took it last saturday and I'm feeling at least a 33)
APs: Chemistry, Calculus AB(in progress)
GPA: 3.61 Calculated UC GPA.. sigh.</p>

<p>ECs:
Basketball - 9 Years (2 years JV, 1 year Varsity, 7 years with club team)
Go Club - 4 Years (President senior year)

<p>Probably like a match or high match. I think your test scores/ec’s compensate. I guess no chance at honors/regents.</p>

<p>Great test scores but I think UCI weighs GPA more heavily…and since your GPA is kind of low…plus you only have 2 AP classes…I’d say maybe a low reach-ish. But your EC’s could help depending on what you say about them. =) Good luck</p>

<p>Davis and SB admissions are roughly similar to UCI’s chances. </p>

<p>You will get in at SC and R, and you should make it into at least 1 of the three (irvine, sb, D), but people are saying that Davis is harder to get into; but its roughly same…</p>

<p>sometimes people that get accepted into ucsd get rejected by davis which ,imo, is weird. ucsb is a little bit easier to get into than irvine or davis.</p>

<p>with your act and sat2’s and talent with go, i wouldn’t be too worried.</p>

<p>on a personal note, I was accepted to UCSD but not Davis, but probably because I applied to an impacted major at Davis.</p>

<p>do you know if a lot of people major in psych? what’d you major in?</p>

<p>well, psych is the 2nd most common major in davis, but i’m not sure if it is impacted.</p>

im not sure how UCI does their whole “admissions thingy” but you def. have a good shot.</p>

<p>With such a high score like 34, make sure you apply to the harder to get-into schools like LA and Cal and SD as well.</p>

<p>It is. But there’s still a percentage of attendees that do have that GPA and I believe it is worth it to apply.</p>
