<p>Hey, I’m an Asian Male attending Irvine High School and I would really like to have an estimate of my chances at UCLA Engineering school, particularly electrical engineering. </p>

i got a c and multiple b’s my freshman year
shows upward trend
uc gpa = 4.17</p>

<p>class rank: my school does not rank but i got the elc letter</p>

<p>Can you guys please give me your honest opinions on my chances at UCB, UCLA, UCI, and UCSD electrical engineering? Also, could anyone tell me if it is possible to go into UCLA undeclared (which I hear is a lot easier), and then transfer into Henry Samueli School of Engineering? Because I really want to know because I plan on being a part of a computer science business later on. I plan on getting an engineering background then going into a business graduate school.</p>

<p>Good GPA, okay SAT score (CR and W are weak), good SAT IIs, average ECs. Applying to engineering makes it harder.</p>

<p>Berkeley: slight reach - reach
UCLA: slight reach - high match
UCSD: match
UCI: safe match - safety</p>

<p>I'd say it's a match if you go undeclared (~70% chance), since your GPA and SAT are above UCLA's average and your ECs are good. You might also put NHS and CSF under "volunteer work."</p>
