...any shot??
what about UCB/SD/SB?

thanks so much guys.

I think you have a good shot at UCLA/UCB. You can probably calculate your score for SD since their admission is purely formulaic, and I'd consider SB to be a safety.

satchelpaige20:

UCB/UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCSB: Safety

satchelpaige20,

UCB: match
UCLA: match
UCSD: safe match
UCSB: safety

stats are average for UCB/UCLA admitted pool, but your extracurricular accomplishments are good and writing a good essay is more beneficial than many think for UC admissions. good luck!

jyancy: You can probably calculate your score for SD since their admission is purely formulaic,

how do u do that? i wanna try calculating my chances. anyway im kinda worried cus my wieghted gpa is not even over 4.0. everyone knows that UCs cap weighted classes at 8 semesters (4 AP or H) right?

UCSD's'formula': http://admissions.ucsd.edu/dev3/info/comreview.html

but i believe it's for Fall 2005 freshmen, meaning its last year's.
nonetheless, it still contains useful info for you `06 applicants. =]

Thanks guys...I hope i get in. What's social life like at UCLA--what's your typical weekend schedule? do the frats dominate the social scene?
