Chances at UCLA, UCSD, BU, etc

Hi,
I am currently a junior at a good high school; the Academic Performance Index is 10/10. I am getting worried about colleges, so I would really appreciate it if I could get some feedback on my chances.

California in-state resident
moved to California sophmore year, so that kind of messed up classes i had taken, had to start a new language class, etc. will colleges take this into consideration?
Sophmore year, only 1 Honors class, Honors English. got a B both semesters.
Junior year: 3 APs, AP English, AP US History, AP Science, all As.
Senior year: planning to take AP Stats, AP English, AP Gov, AP Physics
weighted GPA so far is around a 3.9 (not that great, but once the year is over, i think i'll have a 4.05.)
SATs: expecting 2100+.
decent extracirriculars, various leadership positions, drama.
i know my stats arent that great, but i would appreciate some feedback for all UC schools, Boston University, University of Washington. Thanks!!!

anyone...?

Well i can only tell you about where ive had success, and i only applied to the UC system and got in so far to LA and SD which are prolly the only two you would want to know about, we'll see about Cal later this week :)
Well the main thing as always is your SAT score and as i don't know whats considered a good score on the new rankings i cant tell you what to shoot for. What i can tell you is that your class load looks good. Don't worry too much about freshman and soph years as much as the last too, i had plenty of B's to go around and didnt take honors math. Your junior year IMHO matters the most of all, specifically in what classes you take. I took AP english, AP psych, AP Bio and APUSH and got only a B in english first semester. As far as senior year goes you definitely have some tough classes which i think will be considered. I dont have the AP gov but i have the other three, though grades wont be seen until after senior year is over for UC's, but the classes you take will make a difference. A 4.0+ Gpa is certainly desired so try to keep your grades up. I didn't have much as far as EC's to post so any you have wont hurt. Do tell if youve taken any SATII's and if so how well you fared.
My stats: SATI: 1420 (720M, 700V) SATII Bio/M: 800 SATII MIC: 720 SATII Writ: 740 GPA (weighted): 4.14

Again i can speak only for the schools where i applied and was accepted, and personally i think going to school at a UC system is an awesome prospect, and UCLA specifically is certainly nothing to scoff at.

thanks so much for replying! i have not taken the SAT IIs yet, but my goal is definently 700 and above for all. I know compared to the other thousands of applicants that apply to UCLA, my course load is not going to look great. do you think really good SAT I and SAT II scores will be able to make up for that? and like i said, when i moved to california sophmore year, alot of my classes i took freshman year did not carry on to my new school, so will colleges consider this? and could you tell me all the AP classes you took during high school? thanks alot. oh, and congratulations on getting into UCLA! i am so jealous! :)

hello88, I sent you a private message instead of posting here. Go check your PM box, ok? :)

I think you have a good chance at most of the UCs -Berkeley and LA are unpredictable - but you have a good chance at Boston University.
I have similar stats and got into LA, SD, and BU :)

But don't forget - other important factors are class rank and the school you go to.

hi! i just wanted to say thanks for replying to my post. yeah, i heard that UCLA and UCB admissions can be very unpredictable. hopefully, this will work to my advantage, and i can get into UCLA! :) again thanks alot, and if you have any other advice, i'll appreciate it.

Well its not so much unpredictable, as usually if you have the stats youll be ok, although every year theres a few in every class that they make some whack decisions for, and if youre really abnormal or have done something really amazing dont even worry about SAT's or grades, but seeing as you didnt mention any... Of course theres also the rumor that theyre mutually exclusive, get into one youre rejected from the other...right, someones bitter. You got PLENTY of time to worry about all this later so for now just worry about keeping yourself as desirable as possible to anywhere you would apply, and your courseload is plenty hard enough and if you keep your grades up this last semester itll look great. My APs? Jr.: Bio, Psych, US History, Hnr. English. Sr.: Stats, Physics, English All are A's cept a B first semester English Jr. year. Well and senioritis is kicking me where the sun don't shine so i dunno bout the rest of this semester :)
