I think you have a pretty good chance at both schools if you maintain your grades, and get an A in math next semester.

UCLA- match
USC - match

If you keep those grades and get at least a 2100 on the SAT, both would be matches

bumpppp…

you have a pretty solid chance at both schools… you’ve been consistent with good grades, just write a good essay and get a got sat score

They’re both matches but UCLA seems more likely

Chance me! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1593643-chance-me-upenn-uva-chicago-michigan-usc.html

Assuming a 2100 on your SATs, then you’re a statistical ‘Match’ for both schools. That said, both schools have ~20% admit rates; whenever a school rejects 4 out of 5 applicants I encourage people to view them as Reaches.

Public universities tend to be much more stats driven, in that sense UCLA is probably a more likely “yes”. That’s not to say USC is a “No”, but in ‘holistic admissions’ it always feels tough to get comfortable with a particular profile of ECs etc. I think you’ll be accepted at SC but be ready for the possibility of a “No”.

If you haven’t seen these links yet, they are worth going through in detail:

Both matches- just write great essays and you’ll have really solid chances. Also, I don’t say this to a lot of people, but you have a real shot at the ivies- if you’re interested, you should really look into that possibility.
