I applied early action to Uconn and got deferred to regular admission. Now I'm kind of worried.

I am in-state.

My stats are:
SATs:
Reading: 630
Math: 600
Writing: 630
Not sure on GPA, probably around a 85 average
Top 35% class rank
2 reccomendations
I think a pretty good essay
Some EC's but probably below average

What do you think?

wow...they differed you in-state with a 1230 math+verbal? That is really surprising considering it is definitely above Uconn's average SATs. Maybe they didn't like your essay or something.

Anyways, you should be in given those stats.

Yea, it is. The average is 1192 now I believe.

It might be my extra cirriculars, I didn't really have that much. I thought my essay was pretty good, but you never know what they will think.

I don't know, hopefully I was borderline between getting in and getting deferred and I will get in on regular decision.
