Chances at UC's and USC?

Hi, I’m a senior in high school so my apps are already submitted! My GOAL GOAL GOAL school is UCLA. But also USC, UCB, UCSD and UCI. Be realistic please Thanks!!!

UC GPA (weighted): 4.0
UC GPA (unweighted): 3.6
Transcript GPA: 4.16
**The reason for the difference is because i repeated Calculus AB which i previously recieved a C in. My school replaces the points for the C on my transcript with the points for my A however UC’s do not override C’s, only D’s and F’s therefore they still count my C instead of my A :frowning:

For the most part I show an improving grade trend from 1st semesters to 2nd semesters.

I have a total of 3 C’s (2 from Calc AB which i retook but my new grade didn’t count)

SAT I: (took a total of 3 times)
Writing: 640
Math: 660
Reading Comp: 660
Highest combined: 1960 (for USC 1980)

ACT: (took 2 times, 1st time scored higher)
English: 27
Reading: 29
Math: 29
Science: 26
Total: 28

SAT II’s:
Math IIC: 690
Biology E: 720

NHS (12th)

(I don’t have too many hours for 6-9 which I am hoping won’t look to bad however CSF is more of an academic club rather than a community service club at our school while NHS just hasn’t done much yet)

ESSAYS:

  1. For the first UC essay, I wrote about how my parents love for the backyard and how this inspired my love for biology.
  2. For the second one, I wrote about an experience I had playing in the pit orchestra for a musical.
(Both essays I would say were pretty well written however they weren’t the best everrr)

I also have ELC status if that helps (top 4% of my class)

extra info:

-female
-asian
-California resident
-middle class
-parents each went to 2-year college
-I have no work experience

again thanks so much! I’m so anxious to find out whether i got accepted or rejected!

I predict deferral from UCLA and UCB.

SAT is low and your e.c isn't special (for UC). Then again, admissions can be arbitrary. You'll get into at least one of them...good luck!

ok, your SAT score is low for UCLA, but fair for ucsd. UCs dont look at your combined SAT scores, just the best set. i say UCLA, Cal, and SUC are reaches but i feel that ucsd and irvine are safe matches.

Oh yeah that's my combined score in one sitting, my total combined score which USC looks at is 1980. So yeahh thanks!

lol ok... what was your order for the colleges at ucsd?? what was your major as well? those are big factors as well.....

I declared somewhere along the lines of Biology for all of the colleges however I'm thinking of switching to education and still declaring pre-med. UCSD: Marshall, Muir, Revelle, I dont remember the rest. However UCSD would be my last choice out of all the colleges.

Anyone else want to help me predict my chances?

I think im in for UCI because of ELC status so you guys don't have to chance me on that but thanks :)

anyone else por favor?

Somewhat weak GPA, slightly weak scores, good ECs, and okay honors/awards.

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: slight reach (50-50)
USC: high match
UCSD: match
UCI: safe match - safety

what does high match mean?

It means it's half way between a slight reach and a match -- about 60%.

Well youre in UCI for sure, with ELC status. UCSD I am almost sure youll get in as well. USC is a pretty good chance, the other two might be hard. But good luck!
