Based the SATs. UCI is the only match. The others are extreme reaches. You need to pull you SATs at least to 2000 to be competitive at UCB and UCLA. 1900s should be find for UCSD.

If your weighted gpa is your uc gpa (10-12, a-g courses, 8semester honors cap), then you are a match for uci and ucsd. Since UCSD combines your sats with your sat2's then you should be a very competitive applicant.

As for UCB, UCLA, and USC you need to get up those sat's and you will have a good shot at all 3 of them.

Unknown4ever:

UCB/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI: Match

Bringing up your SAT scores would definitely be a big Plus.

sorry guys, I had one more question. Are my ECs good enough, or do I need to find more stuff? Also, I just took a practice SAT again, and scored a 2000. Is this good enough for my schools? Lastly, Do u guys think I have a chance of getting into duke or cornell.

THanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the advice

You shouldn't 'find' more stuff, you should do what interests you, otherwise you're 'resume padding'.

That being said, the colleges you're looking at are selective, but none of them are so selective that your ECs would be inadequate-your ECs are just fine (good, as a matter of fact).

What was your math+verbal score (1600 scale). That would be a better indicator--USC's average is around 1360. Having a 2000 would significantly boost your chances at all of the colleges you've listed.

Also, if you plan to apply to the business school at USC--which is Marshall--you'll need a higher SAT score, since the average SAT there is around 1390 (CR + M) or so.

Math 670
CR 650

Take the ACT, it may be much easier for you.

How long did it take u guys to prepare for the SAT? How many times did u take it? Junior or senior year?

Somehow, I a can't raise my score very high. My parent put in a $2200 SAT class, but my score isn't rising too much.
