chances at UCs, please!!

Hello.. I'm applying to UCs, and I wanted to know my chances. My grades etc. aren't spectacular, kind of middle of the road.
Applying to: UCSC, UCSB, UCLA, UCDAVIS, CAL POLY san los obispo, aand possibly UCSD or UCI.

Hopeful English major.
Female, California, white, haven't done any sports, large public high school.
GPA: 3.74 weighted, unweighted 3.55 (Choir and PE brought it down)
Class rank: 47/495 (Barely in the top 10%)
SAT: 1870
CR- 670
M- 590
W- 610
(I took it a second time and went up 10 pts. each in W&CR but down 30 pts. in Math. I also took it a third time in Nov. but I'm positive I did worse).
SAT IIs:
Lit- 680
US History- 710

AP Exams: AP English: 4 APUSH: 5

(Skipping Frosh year, I got combinations of As and Bs, no Cs).
Soph. year
Eng. 2 Honors A/B+
Mod WH/WG Hn A-/A-
Algebra 2 B/C
Chemistry B/B-
Spanish 2 B/A-
(Women's chorus and PE not college cred).

Junior year
AP Junior English A-/A-
APUSH: B/A
Trig/Precalculus C+/B+
Physics B/A-
Spanish 3 A/A-
Dgtl Design Anm A/A
(Women's chorus)

Senior year
AP Senior English
Photography
AP Environmental Science
AP Spanish IV
Adv Digital Design
AP Govt/Econ

I'm getting mostly Bs this year, though AP Senior English sucks because our teacher is really cool but a total hardass when it comes to grades (C in that class).

My extracurriculars are honestly pretty pathetic. 3 clubs (Writer's guild, Art Club, Club Amigos), Guitar class/lessons for like 2 years, Karate?? for 2 years (Don't know if I should put it down). Volunteer work: Very little, I have like 4 solitary volunteer things I did things that I'm putting down. And I once built a website for someone. Heh heh.

PS, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yain't getiing into ucla, but you should get into the rest.

I was going to apply to UCLA on the off chance that they need some kids with lower stats, but maybe I would be better off saving the $$$ and applying to UCI/UCSD instead.. Thoughts, anyone? Also, do you think I should explain in the third essay that I was having a really hard time (emotionally) soph year, or no?

"off chance that they need some kids with lower stats"

Lol, sign me up for that college, I wanna apply! I don't mean to be a no talent assclown, but the idea of tough times is overused and is pretty cliche.

I know its cliche, it was just an idea.. Trying to think of something else but IDK. Practically everyone I know at my school just applies to UCLA even if they have like my stats.. Just because.

UCLA: Big Reach
UCSD: Reach
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Match/Very Slight Reach
UCSC: Safe Match/Match

UCLA--Big Reach
UCSD--Reach
UCSB/UCD/UCI/CPSLO--Match to Slight Reach
UCSC--Match

P.S. your UC GPA is 3.82, but students at UCSB/UCD/UCI/CPSLO average UW GPAs of about 3.90, so you are close but below the average of admittees. Your SATs are right at the average for admittees at these schools.

kalikula2:

UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Match
UCSC: Safe Match

"Yain't getiing into ucla, but you should get into the rest."

What the hell? That is simply not true. The poster will likely not get into UCSD either. The posters stats are well below UCSD's average admit in both SAT and GPA.

UCLA: Large Reach-Reach
UCSD: Reach-Slight Reach
UCI/UCSB/UCD/Cal Poly SLO: Match
UCSC: Safe Match
