So i would love to know my chances at:
UCLA
USC
UCB
UCSD
UCSB
Johns Hopkins
Brown
Yale

any recommendations to improve my chances?

oh white middle class caucasian if it makes a difference

First of all, your UCs GPA is only 4.05--since you only count the weighted GPA for the UCs by counting 8 honors classes (you can't count any more honors classes except that).

My guess is you're a reach for UCLA and UCB but a match for UCSD and USC if you get the SAT scores up about 80 points and a match for UCSB even without that. The Ivies depend on rank and size of class--which you haven't posted--and the SATs are way too low to have any chance at them.

The key to get into all of the top schools is to improve your test scores--by a lot--but I think you know that. Even then the Cs you got into AP Chemistry will hurt your chances at John Hopkins and Brown--although you may be able to overcome them if you do well in your summer medical program and are able to get someone to say how much you learned about chemistry on the job.

Lastly, sorry to say, I believe there is absolutely no way for you to get into Yale with those two Cs--just my humble opinion, you understand.

Nope, UC caps their GPA with a maximum of 8 semesters of AP or Honors Level Coursework having extra points. So with 6 Aps and 1 Honors, a total of 14 semesters, only 8 of them are weighted.

Sorry, dude, that's how UC does their GPA. Believe me I know. Google it up if you don't believe me and Calcruzer.

ok if u take more than 8 semesters, do they pick and choose the top 8 highest grades? i.e. if u took 12 semesters of AP's and 8 of them u got A's 2 B's and 2 C's, do they take the 8 A's and ignore the rest??
