Chances at UCs, USC, NYU, BU...

<p>Hey everyone, I was just wondering what my chances at getting into the UCs, USC, NYU, and BU were. (I live in southern CA, btw)</p>

<p>edit: I forgot about Northwestern University and University of Michigan as well</p>

<p>GPA(weighted, 10-12): 4.12
GPA(unweighted, 10-12):3.65
(UCs only look at 10-12, right?)
Class Rank 61/474
10-12 Rank 34/474</p>

<p>Rank seems a bit high, but I've taken just about every possibly Honors/AP course my school offers except for honors/ap english</p>

<p>SATI: 1310 (new scores coming in this thursday)
SATII: Math2c: 750, Writing: 620, Chemistry/History: 630
ACT: 31 composite (higher than my SAT score)
APs: US History (4), Chemistry (3), Statistics (4)</p>

<p>ECs:
CSF Secretary junior year
Key Club 9th grade
Math Club 9th grade
Volunteered @ Motion Picture Hospital (old persons home)
Volunteered with Measure E campaign in California
CSF all 4 years of HS
and then a bunch of other volunteer things</p>

<p>Current schedule:
AP Calc BC
AP Government
AP Physics
AP Spanish 5
English</p>

<p>I'm not really sure, but I can tell you this... I think your UC gpa is higher because you can give an extra point to up to 8 honors/ap classes you've taken (A=5 pts. instead of 4). I think that will make your gpa slightly higher. GL!</p>

<p>nevermind, I must be tired I just saw the weighted. I'd say most of the UC's are safeties/matches, with berk and la as reaches, but you have a good shot. GL!</p>

<p>And also, does applying undecided to UCs factor in at all?</p>

<p>Your SAT I and SAT II Writing are needing of improvement to reach the average admit profiles of UCB/UCLA.</p>

<p>Yeah, I figured my writing score was low, but shouldn't my ACT score cover my SAT1 score?</p>
