Chances at UF/USF/UCF/FSU?

<p>White male. Middle class. Florida resident. Applying for 2012 year at these schools. I dont care if all i get into is summer, i just want to get in haha.</p>

<p>Graduate in 2012
Ranked 5th out of 400 (top 2%)</p>

<p>SAT- 1940/2400 1340/1600 (710V/640M) (only took test once)
ACT- Take in December</p>

<p>GPA-4.0 unweighted/4.5 weighted</p>

<p>Took all honors/AP classes</p>

<p>AP classes:
Psychology-5 (sophomore)
US History-3 (junior)
Lang and Comp-4 (junior)
Chemistry-1 (junior) (worst teacher ever)
this year (senior):
Calculus
Literature
Biology
Economics
Government</p>

<p>EC's (this is where i lack):
National Honors Society 2010-2012
A-team 2011-2012
Tutoring middle schoolers in math 2010-2012
Math Counts (middle school math competition) Coach 2011 and 2012
Community Service- 70 hours (am in process of getting 50 more by Dec. 31)</p>

<p>So....chances at summer for these schools?</p>

<p>My son is applying to UF and FSU too.</p>

<p>I think you will get into both of them.</p>

<p>UF is not a lock, because of their so-called “holistic” admission standards, but I think you will still get in, because your class rank is great and your SAT scores are in their range.</p>

<p>You’re easily in all of these. Apply for harder colleges.</p>

<p>You’re probably in all of them. Look up honor’s college requirements and see if retaking SAT wouldn’t be beneficial.</p>

<p>The only one that’s iffy is UF. Perfect GPA’s are hard to turn away though…I can’t believe you had an A and got a 1 on the exam haha</p>

<p>Like I said i had a terrible teacher. Only one kid in the class made a 2. It was the kind of class where you didn’t have to do anything to get an A, then when the test came you were screwed.</p>

<p>I’m just worried about my EC’s and community service hours because my UF application is due in a little over a week and theres now way I’ll have over 100 hours.</p>
