Ello? BUMP BUMPY

by UF you mean University of Florida? Don't even worry about it you're in. Your class rank ensures that. Are you FL resident? And btw, being Asian isn't minority enough for them, because it is not underrepresented in the area. But either way, I'd say you're in...your SAT needs work though...that could be the only thing holding you back. Your ECs are pretty terrible (sorry) but it won't matter in this case. I'd say you have like...almost gauranteed shot

If you're in-state, I'd say yes. On the other hand, your SATs are low, and UF is getting more and more competitive every year. But good luck though.

I wouldn't be too sure jackpot, your SAT's are just below the median score for UF and your EC's aren't that great, that is a big part of UF. But xerxes is right, if you are the top 5% of your class your pretty much gauranteed in.

Well I'm Indian if that makes a difference...I'm a FL state residen so yeah in-state...Another guy from our school applied (who was ranked 3rd) and exactly 1190 as his SAT score..but for some reason he didn't get in...But yeah I'll give it a try anyways. thx for ur input...and this other kid from our school (with the same EC as me, 1250 SAT and a much lower class rank got in)...his GPA was like 3.9 or 3.8 got Accepted..

If i send my application tomorrow, when do I get a reply by? Do they have specific dates they reply on...The "first regular phase" applicants got a reply this past friday. I'm almost complete with my application and should be sent in a day or two

Whoo-hoo Indian pride

Actually, an admissions officer told us that top 5% is pretty much guarantee in....though that may only hold for in-state applicants or something.

Top 5% is guaranteed, but if you apply fall you might have to go summer. There was a problem with that last year.

they told my counselor at my school that in state applicants at top 5% of class are in...although your sat scores might be a little low...but i kno of people who already got in there with the same score but better ecs...

im doing my app rihgt now...im top 5% and just feel like blowing off one of the essays...i wonder how theyd like that!
