Chances at UF

I know this isn't the right thread, but I am not getting many answers back so I was wondering what you all who go to UF and other think. I am trying to transfer to UF from Brevard Community College with a 3.64 and all A's in my pre-reqs. I was in Phi Theta Kappa, but unfortunately have had to work through out college, so I don't have all the EC I would like too. Would you all think I have a shot of getting in? Please be brutally honest, thanks! :)

I forgot to add I am applying for the Spring 2010 term.

EC’s have no bearing on transfer admissions, as far as I know. You seem like you’re in good shape.

Anyone else have an opinion? :)

The most important thing is which college are you planning to transfer to, should you get into UF?

College of Liberal Arts and Science. I am going to transfer into Political Science. I was told that I have a good chance by the admissions office, but I think they tell everyone that.

They said that because you have a good chance. It’s pretty formulaic as to whether you get in or not: A 3.5 or better will, 99 times out of 100, grant you admission.

Really? I never knew that a 3.5 or higher had a VERY good chance of getting in. I hope this is true gthopeful. That would me me very happy! I am just one of those people who is always nervous and thinking the wort things possible. I still wish my GPA was a bit higher, like 3.7, but I can’t really help that now. Hopefully I am a good enough candidate. Where have you read or heard about how the transfer process works gt?
