Have you looked at this:

^Good resource

The reason I’m on here is for you all to look at me holistically. I know I don’t necessarily have the grades or the scores (I plan on re-taking the SAT) but I do have great extracurricular activities and I had to deal with violent epilepsy for the first three years of high school but even still maintained a good grade average.

Sadly… Holistically speaking, I don’t think you’ll get in. You should consider applying to safeties. I don’t mean that to be rude, I’m just being honest.

Your extracurricular activities, aren’t very eye-popping. What does a Latin Club Queen for Homecoming have to do with college admissions? Similarly, being a make-up artist isn’t really relevant.

It’s great you have those experiences, and admissions will definitely pay mind to your interest and what you’ve done. What do you plan on majoring? Can you link your political activity, make-up artist position and homecoming queen to something academic? What did you get on your AP exams? Did you pass? How about class rank?

Your SAT, GPA and course rigor is well below the average for UGA’s last year’s average and we anticipate another record breaking class this year. Your extracurricular activities are also not as impressive as some other posters/students I have seen. You can address your health concerns on your college application as well.

Admissions is a competition, so don’t be discouraged by what I’m saying. I’m only pitting you against the average. :)

Everyone should always apply regardless of their application. Good luck!

To answer your questions, I got a 5 on AP Language exam and a 93 in the class. I’m currently taking the others. I never made below a 90 in my honors courses. For Latin Club: I have been apart of it since freshman year and as president for the last two years I have turned our member involvement around , we started off with five-ish people and now we have a proud thirty five involved members. Make-up artistry is something I like to do for fun. Most of my life is so serious and in Fashion club I can be creative and fun. Now on to major. I plan to study Philosophy and possibly classics. My passion for philosophy began when we read about Roman Philosophers in Latin 3 last year, I instantly knew it would be my major. I plan to then take that Philosophy degree to Law School.
