EC: I've been working 25-30 hours per week since my 15th birthday. I was a volunteer camp counselor at a camp for diabetic children the summer before freshman year. I don't have too much here because my parents have been wanting me to work as much as possible after I told them I'd like to go away to a 4-year university :P

<p>UIUC is definitely my first choice. I know my chances aren't that great so I worked as hard as possible on my essays the weekend the application came out, had them edited by my counselor, and submitted the application by Wednesday. I hope that the promptness of my application will be beneficial, but I don't know if it will push me ahead. I also checked the button on the application that stated "Check here if I am willing be admitted to any other school at UIUC if not admitted into what I am applying for". My school has an average of 250 kids apply to UIUC each year (yeah I know, class of 1100+). Any thoughts, comments, criticisms would be gladly appreciated. Also if anyone has a recommendation they'd like to throw my way, I'd love to hear that as well.</p>
