Am I leaving anything off the list?

I’m hoping for a lot of merit aid so if you have any idea about my chances for scholarships at these schools, let me know please.

Thanks to all in advance.

SAT is 2200*

Safety: UT Austin, UT D with merit, UH, w merit, Baylor w merit, Drexel w merit
Probably: UMass and UMD ( idk much about these as far as merit)
Reach: Rice and USC with merit if you get in (make sure you meet the USC NMF scholarship deadline)

You probably won’t get merit at Rice. Is your parents’ income too high for financial aid?

TXTech has a new full ride NMF scholarship. Also TX A&M has a large NMF scholarship. Think about Tulane. Univ. of Oklahoma and Univ of Alabama have large NMF scholarships. You have very good stats.

Thank you! Yeah, I won’t get any financial aid anywhere. I didn’t even want to apply to Rice but my parents want me to just try it. What about UNC?

I think UNC has a few very large scholarships. I think they are super competetive.

You need to find out how much your parents will pay. You can likely get a 1/2 tuition scholarship to some private schools that are still quite selective. I’m thinking Tulane and U Miami. Another Texas school to consider is Trinity. And some other LACs like Rhodes in Memphis if the LACs appeal to you.

I ran the Baylor NPC recently for my DS and the NMF gives a very large scholarship.

You probably have a decent shot at getting into Rice but it is very expensive if your parents’ income is over a certain amount. At the admission tour, it was stated that the NPC is very accurate. My DS wouldn’t qualify for any aid other than a little work study. I’m a Rice alum and the numbers were a wake up call! We are not rich.

thanks

just a tip, i heard that UH gives full ride to kids who get a 2300 or better on the SAT; so if you’re really interested in UH, you might re take the SAT and try to qualify for that

I already get a full ride to UH for NMF anyway but thanks for the input!
