I was wondering if anyone could please give me my chances at USC and Michigan
Freshman year:3.11 UW
sophomore:3.46 UW 1 AP
junior: 3.83 UW 2 AP
Senior year: not sure, but will be taking 4 APS
5 on AP world
4 on AP US
ACt:31
cumulative unweighted (through junior year) 3.58
Ecs:
4 year varsity soccer
2 year varsity lacrosse
2 year jv lacrosse
volunteer at YMCA 2 summers
Top soccer volunteer

I realize my cumilitve gpa is below these schools standards, but there is strong improvement so i am hoping this will make enough of a difference to cover up for the slowish start
Thank you!!!

I think UMich is a reach, but USC is a low reach.

Low reach for both.

Both should be considered reaches.

Your UWGPA is fairly below the average admit at both of these schools. With a sub-20% admit rate this year that makes USC a reach. Michigan’s average GPA numbers are about the same but OOS applicants are thought to need ‘better numbers’ than in-state. With the admit rate dropping to 33% that only becomes a tougher admit.

Also, Michigan is pretty cheap with OOS aid beyond loans, so expect to be paying full price if you do get admitted.

UMI: Reach
USC: Reach
