You’ll very likely get in, but if you really want to make your application stronger, if it’s not too late switch to Calc BC. Since you want to do Econ, you’ll need a strong math background. Your schedule may already be too difficult though, so decide that for yourself. As well, how many APs have you already taken? Going from 0 to 6 seems like a big jump, and they may deffer you to see if you can actually handle that many APs, instead of just signing up and doing poorly.

^ Hmm, that’s a really good point. If you’ve taken no APs before, but take a ton all of a sudden senior year, you might get deferred so they can see how you handle the workload.

75% of Michigan’s students are from early response (applying before November 1st) according to an admissions officer. If you apply after November 1st, you’re competing for a lot fewer seats and your chances go down. I remember very qualified students getting wait listed or rejected last year because they applied too late.

Grameen bank is hardly unheard of. I did some micro-credit internships as well, Grameen is massive name in that field. And don’t dismiss micro-credit as a whole simply because of the lower sums lent, awareness of the field is increasing significantly.
