Chances at UMich

I would like to apply to the UMich undergrad business program, and I know it's highly ranked, so please let me know what you think!

I'm hesitant to be too specific because I know many people from my school use this site and I don't want them to know it's me, so I'll post ranges for my stats:

Class Size: 730-750
Unweighted GPA: 3.5-3.6 top 30-33%
Weighted GPA: 4.4-4.5 top 10-11%
** I got 2 C's 2nd semester of my junior year in core classes (horrible, i know) so take this into account. I've never gotten anything below a B before.

ACT composite: 31-33
Total # of AP classes taken in HS so far: 6
Total # of AP tests taken: 4
AP Scores:
U.S. History-3
Statistics-4
Physics-3
Psychology-5

EC's (sorry these are so vague, but, again, I am hesitant to be too specific):
-Captain of 1 of my clubs and have been in it for all 3 years (going on 4)
-Member of 4 other clubs (I quit one of them after sophomore year) and highly involved (leadership positions, etc.) in all but 1
-Member of club outside of school (metropolitan)
-Volunteer work outside of school for over 40 hrs.
Awards from EC's:
-National award winner
-State champ for two of my clubs
-Community scholarship winner
-District award winner
**I know my EC's sound pretty dull due to vagueness, but I'm positive my EC's are outstanding and will really help my chances.

Recs:
I know I can get a really strong recommendation from the teacher who supervises the club that I am a captain in.

Thanks!

I think your chances at UMich are solid, overall, however I’m not very familiar with their undergrad business program. You have to make sure that your essays are stellar, and it might boost your chances. GOod luck!

Chance me??

bump bump bump bump

I think your a perfect canidate. Your gpa is kinda low though…

If you are instate then you are match for getting into Umich Regular. If you are out of state then you are a reach for Michigan. This has mostly to do with your unweighted GPA being low for Michigan.

As far as the business program goes, if you are applying preferred admission, you are a high reach if you are in state. If you are out of state then you are a high high reach. This is because the preferred admission business program is an extremely selective program (on par with many of the ivy’s and top schools selectivity wise). Otherwise, regular admission you would have to be in Umich for one year and do well there, in which case high school won’t really matter. You can compare yourself to these stats for the preferred admission program:

tbh it’s hard to chance you if you’re not more indepth but from above you seem to have a pretty decent chance
