chances at Umich

hey what do you think my chances at geting into University of Michigan are:

GPA: 3.56 weighted
SAT I: 2020/2400 1410/1600
math: 800 english/writing: 610

SAT II: math IIc: 800 chem: 700

i have 4 ap classes and all the rest have been honors except for spanish in 9-11 grade

i have a lot of soccer including state ODP, school team, club team that is nationally ranked and a regional pool

national honors society
asian society
math club
literary honors society
chess club

im applying to study math or physics so i dunno

this probably is the school i most want to get into and im really hoping i do

oh yea and im a minority if that helps any and my cousin goes there, while my bro got in but decided not to go there

are you in-state?

nope im from new york

can anyone pleeease tell me something?

Superman320 (nice name, from one superhero to the next) You have the SAT numbers for sure...GPA is a little low though (but still in the mid50 for UMich) I'd say:

UMich: Match

Batman

lol funny but tanx anyone else? (yah nickname came from friends after i won a fight.. nothing to be impressed about the kid was half my size and i think younger i dunno.)

I see that UMich is your No. 1 (UM is awesome...OOS tuition is too high and it's a little far from Calif...otherwise I like it a lot too!) Where else are you applying?

i was actualy thinking soccer wise and some other schools were like
drew university - safest safety school
clarkson university
john hopkins - with coaches help
suny
some others that i cant remember rite now since im really tired

Soccer link to Johns Hopkins, very nice! I love baseball and have links on the west coast, but the top baseball schools aren't like JHU (Long Beach St., U Arizona, etc.) I know schools like UNC, Va Tech, Duke, and Clemson are good soccer/academic combos if you're interested.

What is your UMich GPA? The weighted GPA doesnt really give much info since different school weight GPA differently.

I'd say you're an average OOS applicant. I think your unweighted GPA can really keep you out though. What is it 3.2 or so?

well i dunno unweighted and weighted in our school have a very small difference
i still have like a 3.5 unweighted somehow i dunno how
strange i kno but w.e

my umich GPA i calculated to be like a 3.4 i think

Don't hold your breath. Your GPA is very low but your test scores are right in the average range, maybe even a bit above. I have found that out of state admissions at Michigan are actually no harder than in state.

tanx that makes me feel a lil better but i dunno i really wish i tried a lil harder during school in the classes like spanish english and orchestra that messed up my grades

wow i just redid my GPA and my GPA on the UMich scale is a 3.3 ummm any remarks anyone?

any other remarks?
(bump)

oh yea to add to it im in mu alpha theta (math honors society)
