Chances at UMich?

<p>Hi everyone. I am so nervous about applying to UMich because it is my dream school. Here are my stats.</p>

<p>ACT: 27 (I plan on retaking it this October)
Cumulative GPA (weighted): 3.9353
Rank: 65/532
ECs: NHS, FCCLA, Community Service Club, Spanish Club my first two years of high school. My school district also has a Career Intern Program which I am a member of. Basically for my 5th and 6th hours I intern in a work place. I intern at U of M Medsport. I work a 12hr work week for a whole semester. I am considering putting this in my EC's because I also intern past school hours. What do you think?</p>

<p>My father graduated from UMich-Dearborn, is he considered an alumni to UofM? Am I considered a legacy to Ann Arbor?</p>

<p>I am applying EA and I'm going to make sure my essays are great. I'm having my counselor write a recommendation and also my Pre-Calc, Physics, and Econ/Gov teacher write me a rec.</p>

<p>I've taken 2 years of Honors Math classes and I'm taking AP Calc my senior year.</p>

<p>I know my ACT is kind of bad but I hope to get it to at least a 30 this October.</p>

<li>your act and gpa are a little below norm at michigan, but your still in reach with your extracurriculars. You should probably emphasize in your essay and any major projects you did.</li>
<li>you should also take more APs then just calc
all in all its a reach, but you have a shot</li>
