Recommendations:
Obviously, I can't read them, so I don't know anything for sure, but I got one from my broadcasting teacher which I know will be very good, as he only wrote one for five people.
I also got one from my french teacher, who has had me for three years.
And I got one from my math teacher my sophomore year who says I was one of the top 2 students he taught in the class my year.
I am guessing that my counselor recommendation is very good, as she later told me that it was very very easy to write, and I have established a good relationship with her.

Essays:
My long essay was very strong as I talked about why my math teacher was the teacher that challenged me the most, and why I learned the most from his class. This is the same teacher I also got a recommendation from.
My short essay is average in terms of establishing my personality, but strong in terms of writing style.

Thanks.

I think you're in for sure...your stats are great...and you took a zillion AP classes! Lots of leadership...good recommendations...

Plus, WWP north is an amazing school...(I live in East Brunswick...WWP is now what EB was in the 90s >:D)

You have nothing to worry about. Best wishes!

Chance me back please? UNCW :D

wow
why did you get deferred? you are good to go =)

I'd say, purely by numbers you should have been accepted. But, UNC is ridiculously difficult. I think that you stand a chance in the regular pool because it's not supposed to be as difficult.

Im really suprised that you were deferred.
You've got an excellent chance of being admitted w/ your excellent stats and ECs.

guys hold up on his chances have you read this... taken from unc website....

What are my chances of being admitted?
We are sorry that we cannot predict any student’s chances of being admitted. This year, we have deferred the decisions of 2,429 applicants, or 18 percent of the 13,692 who applied. In 2008, we deferred 2,286 applicants and offered admission to 328. The year before, we deferred the decisions of 2,206 applicants and offered admission to 316. We do not yet
know how many deferred students will be offered admission for Fall 2009.

The chances are close to 6.98% for everyone who got deffered, but for you i would say you got a 25-30% chance.

I know the feeling since I was deferred too even though I am in-state. It is probably best to develop a good backup plan. With UNC accepting so few deferred applicants, it is very close to a rejection in my mind. However, I think your resume should be good enough for the few remaining spots.
