Chances at UNC

Will these stats be good enough to get into UNC in-state?

Weighted GPA: 4.2
Unweighted GPA: 3.2 (due to bad sophomore yr, but good junior+senior years)
SAT: 2100/2400

Good ECs (mostly academic)
Several Small Awards
Decent Essay
Decent Recs
A lot of independent study APs and dual enrollment..
English is 2nd language

just by looking at this, do i have a good chance??

What is your class rank and ethnicity?

white (caucassian)

top 22%, i think
but i am at a very competitive NC school, unlike most..

can anyone give me an estimate

I think you'll get in. From what I hear, getting into UNC in-state is rediculously different than getting in as an OOS applicant. JR./SR years should really help you, as well as your SAT score. I wouldn't worry too much if I were you

Yes. OOS is 11 or 13 %, I forget which, I think 11. But they get 4 times as many OOS applicants.

Frank

but im in-state

It depends on how "competitive" your school is. At a school like NCSSM, Myers Park, Enloe, etc., you're definitely in. Even if you're not at a competitive school, you've still got a very good shot (especially with the upward trend and strong scores), although it's not a safety.
