What are my chances at UNC-Chapel Hill as a in state student?
This is just my humble opinion, I am in no ways in a position where I can tell you definitely.
I think you’re stats look good. Look towards raising your unweighted GPA (aim for straight A’s this year) and raising your SAT score – I think you should get it above 1450.
But your extracurriculars look good, and class rank. Keep it up. See if you can get yourself a leadership position in one of these things.
Living in NC certainly helps, but you definitely need to raise your standardized test scores. And try to get in the top 10% of your class.
Forgot to mention, I’m going to be a senior this year
ACT and SAT are low for Chapel Hill, even if in state, Reach.
@TomSrOfBoston What should I aim for the SAT when i retake it? I know my math score is near the 75th percentile however my reading is only 25th percentile.
1310 is actually average for UNC. Just apply EA and you’ll be fine.
