Chances at UNC?

<p>Since only 18% of UNC acceptees are out-of-state, I know the competition for admission will be stiff...What do you think?</p>

APs: Chemistry-- 5
U.S. History-- 5

SAT II: Chemistry-- 740 U.S. History-- 750
I will be taking 5 APs next year, including Calc BC and Physics C (both of which I know I will make 5s in, although Emory won't see that until after the scholarship deadline)
GPA: 4.15 out of possible 4.3
Class rank: ~6 out of 170 at private prep school (McCallie)
National Merit Finalist and possible Recipient (PSAT score=229)
Participant in Tennessee State Math Contest
American English Teachers Essay Contest nominee (they said it would be a great honor to put this on an app...?)

<p>I know my SAT needs a little improving, but excluding that, what do you think? Thanks for the input.</p>

<p>yeah you have a pretty good shot, but i agree that your SAT score is a bit low. a lot of the people who got accepted from out-of-state seemed to be in the mid 1400's at least. your ECs are awesome, though!</p>

<p>I wouldn't worry too much about your SATs. Even if they stay the same as they are now, I would be surprised if you didn't get in.</p>

<p>I don't think your SAT scores are low at all. The average is only in the mid 1300's, and I think you have better than average school records (considering your high school) and ECs.</p>
