-3 years of drumline/band.
-Job at a restaurant.
-Volunteer work.

bump.......

anybody???

shoot higher...u of denver is ****.

I don't no anything about college admissions but the University of Denver ACT average for admittance is 26, so I would assume you are within the range of students.

turks, what makes you say that denver is ****?

please, does anyone thats familiar with the university know my chances?

is anybody out there?

I live in colorado. DU is a GREAT school! hmmm . . . your test scores are within range, but your GPA may be a little low compared to the accepted students. Interview is really important, so if you can fly out here and do an interview and tour, that would up your chances. Also, what is your major? If you want to go to school in colorado, maybe try CU-Boulder, it's beautiful.

Actually, as far as I know, interviews are required for all applicants now.

yeah, its the only school in the country that requires you to do an interview. hopefully, i'll make a good impressions during mine and it'll be enough to get me in.

asianprincess-my major will be journalism, if that changes anything. as for cu boulder, i just dont think id fit in.

if i can just get one more response, i will never bump this thread ever again.

7% had h.s. GPA between 2.5 and 2.99
Percent applicants admitted: 73% (although Princeton Review had this as 80+, hmm..)

You're in the middle 50% for both SAT and ACT scores. Unfortunately for you, it doesn't seem as if they consider SAT Writing.

I think you stand a pretty decent chance of getting in, especially if you do well in the interview. Is this your first choice school?

If you don't need financial aid and interview well, then you should be admitted. What do you see as the differences between U. of Denver and U. Colo. at Boulder that would allow you to fit in at one but not at the other?

im not really sure yet where it stands, but its definitely up there. im applying today, so ill be applying ea, and according to usnews, the acceptance rate improves by about 15% through early action. i also havent been sending my sat scores, just my act, since most schools dont look at writing.

by the way, i have on quick question about the application. one of my ec's is lacrosse, and thats the one im most passionate about. my essay is about winning the state championship game. there is also a box where it asks you to elaborate about one of your activities. at the moment, i have written about lacrosse and what it has meant to me throughout high school. do you think this is good and that it shows a passion? or is it too much lacrosse and show an obsession?
