Hey everyone, just so you know, I also created an extensive post in the "college admissions" section of this forum, wondering about the Claremont colleges, but I'm wondering if anyone can give me some U of Miami specific info.

HS grades & SAT scores were horrible, but this won't matter because I have more than 30 credits and am not required to submit those scores.

1st. Semester @ Community College- 3.85
2nd. Semester, Applied directly to a study abroad program in Spain, got a 3.35
3rd. Semester, @ Community College- 3.85

= A GPA average of 3.68 (but I'm hoping that they will weigh the CC GPA higher, because the point of studying abroad is to experience new things while learning, and not necessarily to spend all your time studying, IMO)

I'm pretty sure I'll get accepted (correct me if I'm wrong), but does anyone have an idea of what I could expect for a fin aid package? It just seems like U of Miami is honestly not worth the costs posted on their website, and sense parents will only contribute 10k a year, two years at Miami w/o grant based aid would get me about 90k in loans (which is something I don't think I would do for any school!)
Just looking for some insight guys, especially if you applied and received an aid package from Miami, but any input would be highly appreciated.

Thank!
