Chances at University of Michigan and University of Chicago?

<p>Both schools have sent me a lot of mail encouraging me to apply and I am wondering what my chances are.</p>

<p>3.78 GPA
34 ACT
Top 10% of class
4 ACT Courses (School only offers 5)
URM status (Hispanic)
First chair violin for 2 years (out of about 35 students)
Drumline section leader
Played several performances outside of school.
Junior Achievement
National Honor Society
Have two teachers for recommendations. They both really like me so they should be good.
Really good essay writer. (10 on writing section of ACT)</p>

<p>Michigan - Match
UChicago - hard to know…improve your EC’s/do something to set yourself apart if you want to get into UChicago. Try to sound really intellectual in their essays, too.</p>

<p>Michigan and UChicago are VERY different schools. Is there a reason why you’re very interested in both of them?</p>
