Chances at University of Michigan Ann Arbor- GO BLUE!!

<p>I am a senior in high school... I go to a public Georgia high school... I am a female... I am Puerto Rican</p>

Essay- 11</p>

<p>GPA weighted- 3.97
GPA unweighted- 3.76</p>

<p>Class rank: 55/483 (11%)</p>

<p>Will graduate with 8 AP classes + lots of honors</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
1. President of Habitat for Humanity High school chapter
2. Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America High school chapter
3. Editor of Yearbook class
4. Religious education teacher
5. National Honor Society member
6. Spanish Honor Society member
7. English Honor Society member
8. AP Scholar
9. Played Athena A club soccer and JV high school soccer
10. Held supporting role in freshman drama showcase
11. Received Coach's award two years in a row for Swim team</p>

<p>Applying as an english major... I already submitted my application and the recommendations and essays that I wrote were pretty solid.... I applied Early Action.</p>

<p>Well, your ACT score falls right in the middle of their mid-50 (28-32). Your ECs look pretty good to me. </p>

<p>Since you’re applying out of state, your GPA and class rank could hurt you. But with good essays and really good recommendations, you should be in decent shape. With public ivies it is sometimes hard to tell if you’re OOS. </p>

<p>I would say you’re around a low-ish reach. Especially considering that the acceptance rate there for out of state students is about 25% (which sucks because instate is about 65%).</p>

<p>Not sure if it’ll help, but they are ranked 13th in English, which is one of their lower rankings. That may make it easier to get in.</p>
