It was also the morning after my parents told me they were getting a divorce, great timing guys. :/ But I just took it again and felt like I did a lot better, but we'll have to see.)

I'm currently taking AP Stats, and even though I didn't take the class, am probably going to take the AP Literature test as well. I also took Japanese and Chinese classes after school at the local community college.

As for ECs, I've had the lead role in our high school musical for the last 3 years and the play for one year. I played Varsity Tennis my Sophomore year, and did Show Choir for two years, receiving State honors each time for multiple events. I also helped to co-found a chapter of Students Against Destructive Decisions at my school, and am the current Vice-President. I also did Drama Club for a couple years and helped to get that program started as well. I spent the summer between Sophomore and Junior year in Washington, DC as a student delegate to the Congressional Youth Leadership Conference, which was a great experience. I did NHS my Junior year, but I ended up quitting and declining admission back to the program. I really hated it. I was given an award for community service excellence last Fall as well for my work with election efforts. I know there's a few I'm missing, but whatever.

Also, I feel like my essays were incredibly solid, and my counselor/teacher recs were really great, too. Also, I'm in-state. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the chance so I’m returning the favor

Univ of Michigan (Ann Arbor I’m supposing?) is on anybody’s top 10 public schools and its only been going up. If your instate it will be much easier than out of state. Either way your scores are solid for the school. Your rank is very good and your ec’s look ok. The best, quick way to boost your chances are upping the standardized tests like 27 to 29+. Consider the SAT if you haven’t taken it.

Yep, good 'ol A2. Thanks a lot, I’m feeling a 30+ on this last ACT (I find out November 10th) but I’ll definitely give the SAT a shot if it ends up sucking.

I think your ECs look really good, and your GPA is good for unweighted. If you’re in-state then you definitely have a shot! (And your ACTs really aren’t that bad - all things considered) Get a little more sleep the nigh before!!! ;)

Haha, nafter, that’s what I used to think until I came to this site… Literally, NO ONE at my school who applies ED has ever been denied; and we’re talking 3.3 GPAs with 24 ACTs. But now I’m a bit anxious after reading half the posts here.

Sorry about the day late response, but thanks for chancing me last night. I’d say you have prett good chances. Your ec’s are fine and your GPA and ACT are both in the competitive range where they won’t do much to help or hurt you. I’d say that if you really want to go there just make sure you write stellar essays and consider applying ed (this shows interest and a Penn administrator told me applying ed at that school raises your liklihood of acceptance by about 10-12% - but I doubt if UMich will give you the same magnitude of an edge). All in all I’d say about 8/10 to a 9/10 chance to account for stupid flukes nobody can forsee. Good luck at acceptance and I hope you do better on the ACT this time around (i bet you will by the sounds of how terrible your day was the last time you took it- I have a 32 but I know for a fact I couldnt have scored near you if I was under the same pressure)

Hi CronoTriggerfan - I also will return the favor, as you chanced me. If you are in state, your chances are decent - just hang in there. I got in out of state, but the stakes are much higher.

^ "You’re a crap student and a slacker, you can’t get in. Go apply to Northwood, it’s the best college in the history of mankind. Or maybe SVSU, GV, and CMU. " -Crono

How do you expect others to chance you, when you make this type of comments for other people’s chances. You worthless piece of *. GTF and UMich does not deserve embarrassment like you .
