So what are my chances? Will my C from 10th kill me? I'm instate. Will the upward trend help? Lot's of kids from my school want to go to this school...plus i'm from NOVA....

Oh, one more thing- I thinking of taking a few courses over summer either at Ccollege, my school; will these be added to my g.p.a, because they may be useful.

Opinions?

Hey Barrelbowl
I think your GPA is on the lower end even for an instate, but with the hard courseload you've taken (8 APs nice) you should do fine.

The rest looks great, SAT+2200, ECs, etc.

Since you plan on applying ED, start on your essays EARLY you have time lol. Even though some people think they are just a small part of your application, I feel they were my key in. (A nice push from the maybe to the yes pile)

OVERALL i think your IN, Great Job

btw i go to Chantilly, what school do you go to?

I think like the poster above said your GPA is a bit low, but it will get compared to your class rank, which shows that you go to a hard school. However, a lot of people on these boards include "projected" grades and SATs. Be careful in doing that because you never know what could happen. But it looks good

You are golden. Ensure that you get the test scores that you have listed and ensure that you get A's your senior year. Also, become friends with a teacher, if you haven't, and get him/her to write your rec. Good luck!

Good deal... I think I will get like a 2000 or something on the new one, and still get in (im a junior too)
