Hi I am applying for Winter 2013 admission when the app opens. I'll keep it simple and easy to read!

College GPA:
- 3.64 through 32 credits at my current 4-year university
- 4.0 through 17 credits as guest student at local CC
Total: 3.76 through 49 credits

HS GPA: 3.6
ACT: 30

Notes:
- In-state student
- Third time applying for admission
- Received full ride to 3rd best university in the state (Wayne State Univ.)
- Student Senate President in High School
- Sparse business/finance extracurricular club participation in college

I’m not sure how the fact that you’ve applied twice before would affect it, but going by your stats alone I’d say you have a pretty good chance.

Michigan will also consider how many credits transfer, if you are transferring in 60 credits then the recommendation for a competitive transfer applicant is a 3.5 or higher GPA, though a 3.75 or above would help your cause more of course.

Plus it all depends where you are applying inside of UMich, ie Ross, LSA, Engineering.

Just make sure you write good essays, and you should be fine, assuming the grades stay the same.

BTW: I am transferring Fall 2012, and had a 3.75 GPA with 71 credits when I was accepted.

@bleedmichigan - I forgot to mention it is LSA I am applying to.

As of three weeks ago UofM admissions moved my Fall '12 transfer application over to the Winter '13 term; I must be one of the first people with a Winter 2013 application already open, no? :D

Also, after speaking with them, they said I will not need to submit the new common application that opens up August 1st, I will not need to submit new essays, nor will I have to pay the application fee again. Awfully nice of them! It makes me feel like extracurriculars and the essays are completely useless though.

If anyone else wants to chime in and chance me, it is much appreciated!
