Chances at UPark?

<p>Hey, just wanted to know if I have a chance to get in.</p>

<p>I'm from Westchester County, New York.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.4 (88.4 unweighted) (88.98 weighted)</p>

<p>SAT'S: Fairly Low (not a good test taker, will retake in Oct) </p>

<p>CR: 480
Math: 530
Total: 1010</p>

<p>Awards and Honorary Programs
• Recipient of Triple “C” Award (Commitment, Character, Courage) presented by New York State Attorney General, Andrew M. Cuomo-11th Grade
• Somers High School Peer Leadership-Mentored incoming freshmen throughout their entry year into high school; participated in community service projects.-11, 12
• National Honor Society-Member-11, 12</p>

• College Level Pre-Calculus (through Westchester Community College)-12

• Walk-A-Thon- Helped lead a charity event that raised money for a local food pantry and for a refugee camp in Costa Rica-11, 12
• Additional activities including visiting nursing home, serving at fund-raising dinners, and scoring local basketball games-10, 11, 12</p>

<p>Decent chances, I think if you can increase your SAT's to around 1250 you will have much better chances.</p>

<p>check out the admissions chart someone posted a while back - should be easy to find the post ("check this before you ask for chances").
Looks like your chances are not so good at this point - but could improve with better test scores. Apply early, agree to do summer, go for DUS vs business or engineering. Your ECs look good but they won't count for much at PSU - the admissions process is numbers based (2/3 GPA, 1/3 Test Scores). Good luck.</p>
