Chances At UPENN, BROWN, Johns Hopkins, NYU, Northwestern, U of Chicago, Boston.....

<p>hey guys could u evaluate my chances at the following places : Northwestern, BU, John Hopkins, NYU, Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Rutgers, U of Chicago, and UPENN???????</p>

<p>SAT: 790M, 670V, 740W (2200 total)
SAT Old: 710M 680V (1390 total), yea i did bad on old
SAT 2s: 800 Math IIC, 710 BIO, 770 Writing, 680 Math IC, and took chem in june</p>

<p>GPA: 5.2 weighted, 3.58 unweighted (Top 10% in my class out of 550 students) our school doesnt rank</p>

<p>took APs this year:lang/comp, calc, and us hist</p>

<p>Extra corrs:
1. President of Social Studies Forum (12th grade-next year)
2. Recording Secretary of AOS ( 12th grade)
3. Political Columnist for newspaper (12th Grade)
4. Treasurer of Academy of Science (11th grade)
5. Science Fair Coordinator for my high school (11th grade and 12th grade)
6. Community Service Director of Social Studies Forum (11th grade)
7. Social Studies forum Special Events Director (10th grade)
8. Founder of Model UN League at the YMCA/JCC (10th and 11th grade)
9. Staff Writer for newspaper (9,10,11)
10. Research internship at rutgers (on genetics)
11. Track (9,10 grades)
12. won many many many Model UN awards
13. Placed 67th in State in New jersey Biology league
14. Presedential Student Award for volunteering at red cross (over 100 hours)
15. Volunteered at NJ vetrans home (40 hours)
16. Volunteered at Local hospital( so far 40 hours)
17. working towards EMT at local first aid sqaud (CPR and First aid certified)</p>

<p>I'm lost, did you get B's in all your regular classes, then load up on AP's and get A's in all of them? That's such a HUGE gap. I thought my friend's 3.6 v. 4.4 was nuts....</p>

<p>nah i got prolly mostly As and like 3 Bs every year and our school does percentiles by the weighted GPA and my weighted is high since i took a lot of honors/AP courses, but those like 3 Bs every year brought my unweighted lower, sry for ne confusion :) u think i gots ne chances? </p>

<p>btw our weighted system is out of 6.0</p>

<p>i got accepted to many of those schools, with a similar SAT score, a tad bit higher on the verbal. Good luck!</p>

<p>duffman, it's not incredibly hard to believe... someone like me, having taken every available ap... have a 3.6-3.7uw and a 4.6-4.7 weighted</p>

<p>^ Yeah, but it's still nowhere near it....he has a 3.68 and a 5.2!!</p>
