Chances at:
Upenn(Wharton) ED
Cornell
PSU
University of Michigan
Rutgers
Berkeley
CMU

Upenn, cornell and cal all look like matches to me, possibly even safe matches. the rest are all pretty much safety. Dont apply to both rutgers and PSU since it is a waste of money and time if you know you will get into both anyway. Basically choose to take out either rutgers or psu, and you have a shot at HYPSM if you are interested in them! Good luck ^^

Both Michigan and Penn State are safeties.

take annother SATII or retake US to up those chances

forgot to mention im also in NHS and French Honor Society as well as 100 volunteer hours
thanks anyone else?

PSU and Rutgers are safeties. Look into Schreyer Honors College at PSU - it's a separate application process and MUCH more selective than PSU (Avg SAT = 1400). Lots of perks - small classes, money, better advsing, research opportunities, internships ect. It's one of the better honor programs in the US. And Smeal is a quality program.
I wouldn't consider Cornell or Wharton to be matches for anyone.

does anyone know if that Honors program at PSU is for any major? or is it geared towards certain majors

Honors college at PSU (Schreyer) is for ALL majors. Most kids are engineering, science and business but all majors are represented. Check out their website (just put Schreyer in a search engine). Lots of good info. They bring in 300 students as freshman each year - I understand they get about 1700/1800 applications. I hear the admit rate is around 30%. About 20% are out of state.

Your SATs and class rank are impressive, though you have few leadership positions in your ECs. Nevertheless, you are a very strong candidate, and you might consider tacking on a couple more reach school to your list.

i have legacy at PSU too, my dad went there, 5 of my first cousins and my uncle there for 25 years

UPenn (Wharton) ED- Reach
Cornell- need to know which school, most likely slight reach
PSU (Schreyer)- match
PSU- safety
Michigan- safe match
Rutgers- safety
Berkeley (OOS)- match/slight reach
CMU- match

you took ap us history twice? you took ap calculus bc coming out of algebra 2 honors? hmm...interesting

it was AP 1 and AP 2, my school just splits it up into two years
and i took precalc over the summer at my local community college

anyone for chances at Wharton(ED)
