Chances at UPenn Huntsman/Wharton ED

<p>Well, the deadline is fast approaching.</p>

<p>I am a white male from PA. </p>

<p>I go to a prep school, generally a feeder to Penn, we send 4-6 kids there every year (out of classes around 120). However, this year, more student will be in ivy league schools because the class is amazing (2 1600s, 10 NM semi finalists, 17 commended students, the whole deal) We offer 5 APs(AB, BC, Computer, Spanish and French) and no honors. All the admissions officers at Penn know our school.</p>

<p>So, I am applying to
Huntsman/Wharton ED
MIT (Maybe, haven't visited)
CMU Tepper School
Georgetown McDonough School
George Washington Business School
NYU Stern School</p>

<p>I made this pretty much for Huntsman/Wharton, though feel free to comment on others.</p>

<p>SAT: 800 Math, 710 Verbal
SATII: 790 MathIIc, 680 Writing (retaking in Nov), 650 Literature(Haha)
Taking Chinese w/Listening, Writing, and MathIc or Physics in Nov (haven't decided)
National Merit Semi Finalist</p>

<p>APs: BC Calc 5, AB Computer Science 4</p>

<p>GPA: approx. 3.6 translates to a 93 at my schools (93-100% is the A range)
We dont weight or rank</p>

<p>4 years of Chinese
3 years of Science
3 years of Computer Science
5 years of Math (my 8th grade math goes on the transcript)
3.33 years of History
4 years of English
1 year of Economics
1 year of Art</p>

Have been a Boy Scout since 1996
3 Week Exchange Program to China
Backpacking club-program thing at school
(I know it llooks heavy on computer stuff etc, but, that was my previous intended field of study)</p>

<p>Ok, there it is
Hoping I get over 700 on the Chinese SATII, Huntsman is ED, if not, I guess I am rejected from huntsman outright without any further questions</p>

<p>Here is the kicker though: I am not american born chinese or chinese, I am just a white male who speaks chinese, Ms. Mace and admissions officers I have talked to seem excited about that</p>

<p>Very good chance I think - being fluent in Chinese would certainly help, but your GPA seems to be lacking a bit - but I wouldn't worry about it too much.</p>
