Chances at UPenn, UVA, Chicago, Michigan, USC?

<p>I attend one of the top public schools in the country (ranked in the top 50 nationally)
GPA: 3.85/4 UW (school doesn't weight)
ACT: 33
SAT: didn't send
AP's: AP US (4), AP Psych, AP Micro, AP Macro, AP Calculus AB</p>

<p>EC's: Table Tennis League (Nationally rated table tennis player, member of USATT, played in multiple USATT sanctioned tournaments, youngest person in league, played since 8th grade, hoping this is unique enough to stand out since most people only view table tennis as a hobby), Sports Management Class with local soccer team (learned inner workings of sports teams, 4 month long class), Youth Group with church for a year, Confirmation class with church (to prepare for my Confirmation), a few summer camps, and National Honor Society (I'm worried I stretched some of the EC's and I don't really have any that stand out).</p>

<p>Work: I have been a cashier at Wegmans (grocery store) since after freshman year, and I'm in my 3rd year working there</p>

<p>Community Service: Participated in Relay For Life for 3 years</p>

<p>I'm worried that I don't have enough EC's to stand out among the other applicants, but I'd like to see what everyone else thinks. Thanks!</p>

<p>Your scores and GPA look good. I think your Table Tennis is really interesting, it’s not a super common thing that a lot of people do and you’re obviously invested in it. I think you’re right about somewhat weak ECs, but you do have ECs and at least you’re filling up the space. The job works well for you too.
I don’t know anything about Michigan and USC, I’d say UPenn, UVA, and Chicago are low reaches.</p>

<p>Thanks, and the reason I think they’re weak is because everyone else I see on here has like 300+ hours of community service and has won some national award for something and I don’t have any of that.</p>

<p>It’s not exactly to say they’re weak, just that they aren’t incredibly impressive, which is what you want at schools like this.
That’s how I feel because everyone on CC has like a 3.95 UW GPA. I know my GPA is lower than it could be, I should probably be at like a 3.7, but I honestly don’t understand how numbers like that are possible. They’re unheard of at my school. I think things like this just has to do with where you’re from.</p>
