What’s their intended major? Did they apply early anywhere?

@Falcon1 Business and I believe UPenn

Harvard, Stanford - Low Match
UPenn Wharton - Low Match
MIT Sloan - Match
NYU - Accepted
Yale - Low Match
Cornell - Accepted
UCs - Accepted at all but Match at Berkeley

Could you chance me back???

Ivies are reaches but you know that! Like the focused EC’s and great scores. Agree with most users here for specific scores. One thing- I am looking for hooks and you are well focused in Business but some of the EC’s lack creativity or involvement. What do you do in NHS that other members don’t? Did you pay for business camps for save up for it on your own? I like the tech business though!

@sandralucky Lol she has no hooks… being female, white, middle class. She was just a NHS member and did activities just like everyone else. No, she says the business camps were expenses paid.

I just wanna go off and say this: anyone who says Ivies are anything but reaches/high reaches for an unhooked applicant is out of their flipping minds. For unhooked kids, it’s a reach/high reach.

OP, your friend has a decent (and please look at this word in terms of the Ivy admissions) chance at all her schools.

@divinggirl6 as said by others here all ivies are reaches no matter how high you test scores or gpa is. You lack major awards and a particular hook but in terms of academics and extracurricular activities you rank high. I’m going to use Princeton as a guideline for chancing people for ivy league schools. Individuals with your test score have a 14.5% chance of admission to Princeton which is double the acceptance rate. Therefore your chances of admission to yale are 12%, 10% chance of admission to Harvard, 12% chance of admission to MIT, 10% chance of admission to Stanford, for Cornell you have a 30% chance of admission, NYU you have a high chance of admission say +60% chance, UCLA you have a +60% chance of admission based on the fact that you have a 35 ACT score and 3.9 gpa, UC Berkeley you have a similar chance of admission between 50%-60% based on academic factors, All the other UCs your admit rate ranges anywhere from 70%-80%. These admit rates are only based on test scores and gpa alone taken from each schools class profile.
