anyone, please reply

so tell me whats wrong with my stats? what makes u say no chance

anyone willing to tell me the flaws in my app, and what my chances are?

whartonorbus: I think that's a little too harsh. At least tell magnet why you feel he/she has no chance.

as whartonorbust is not a wharton or even a penn student, and appears to enjoy telling people that they have no chance at wharton, ignore him (or her?)

i'm not one to give chances; if you like penn enough, and have worked hard, then by all means apply. we'd love to see an enthusiastic incoming freshman class, rather than one of discouraging / overcompetitive pessimists and put-down slingers.

Im actually applying ED to Jerome Fisher, hoping that the essays i wrote will be impressive enough. Based on feedback from about 10 people, all have said are impressively written

Will retaking the SAT I improve my chances any, if i get about 710 CR and 730 Writing?

ANyone reply back?

I just posted a blog on it...

http://gocards44.wordpress.com/2006/08/07/applying-to-an-ivy-league-this-fall-start-working/

ummm i got waitlisted at UPenn and accepted on june 2 after writing my admissions officer persistently. with worse numbers than yours. and i wouldn't depend too much on your numbers because you can't control them, post your essays to the forums instead or something. but i would encourage you to read the post.

also based on your numbers i'd apply to engineering school, unless you can bump up your reading/writing

Ok, I'll give you chances. Your numbers are solid, but the rank should be a little higher to give you a more competitive edge.

Now, where you may run into problems with are your ECs. Nothing really stands out. Do you have any leadership experience? If so, where is it? Focus on bolstering your ECs. You have the scores to put your foot in the door, but I don't think you have ECs that come within contention with all the other top applicants.

However, the essays and recs play a considerable role. And so does your personal background/geographic location/race. Focus on improving your ECs.

Ok, well heres the problem, im going to be a senior this fall, so i dont see how i can improve ECs with 3 weeks of summer left and then 1 month and a half of school before ED applications are due

do these ECs have to pertain to school

so anyone else willing to give me recs as to how to improve my chances?
and plz give chances based on percentage in this format if you could
Jerome Fisher - y%
Wharton - x%
SEAS - z%

Anyone?
and also please tell me how i can improve my CR in SAT to above 700

wow quadruple post. Calm down. Even if someone is to give you your chances based on your x, y, z scenario, what good would that do? They are not admissions officers. Even admissions officers would tell you that it is impossible to predict your chances of getting into Penn.

ok thanks i'll wait till i get some actual feedback

I just took another practice test, i keep getting 650 CR

Can anyone tell me what my best bet to improve chances at Jerome Fisher/Wharton/SEAS would be to do?
