Expecting good essay and excellent teacher reccommendations.
Please evaluate my chances and feel free to suggest any other college you think I should apply to.
Thanks!

I'm not too knowledged on the colleges that you have chosen but your stats are competitive with the top students in the nation. I'd think you'd have an above average shot at HYPS and definitely a good chance at colleges like UPenn, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, ect.

What are you trying to major in?

Rice/Baylor is a separate program from admissions. You have to first be accepted to Rice, before you can even apply to Rice/Baylor.

bump......................

I'm interested in University of Pittsburgh and Case Western Reserve Univeristy as well :D :D

bump.............................

Being from Pittsburgh I can say you stand a very strong chance of getting into Pitt. And Case for that matter too (I grew up in Cleaveland). And if you are looking into Case may I also recommend Carnegie Mellon which is very strong in engineering and sciences. Not sure exactly what you are interested in studying though.

bump.........................

you're only a sophmore, a lot could change from now til your senior year. i mean of course your really good SAT scores will still be there but ranking and gpa especially could fluctuate. i think it's really unaccurate to "predict" your chances so early in high school. anyways... i can say that you're definitely on the right track

You should be good at Pitt for BA/MD because I believe you get in if you have a 1450 (old sat) and are in the top 1% of you class.

A lot of these programs are the most competitive ones in the nation. I'm applying to PLME probably. They only accept like 150 kids or something. Other BA/MDs only accept like 40. Anyway, I hate it when people act like Debbie Downer (Wa Wa Waaaaaaaaa) on my posts. You've got great stats! Keep it up, and I'm sure you'll get into a school you like. At the same time, don't screw up like I did and drop french and cry when you're doing applications, eating breakfast, or falling asleep at night.
